Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on 16 March, 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. The comedian has been on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her stand-up career in the year 2011, following appearances in small parts on several Irish television shows and British shows since the year 2009. Bea began performing often on sketch comedy and sitcoms later in the year. After her victory during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was scheduled for a range of panel show. In 2016 and 2017 she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. She was in 2012 the only woman in history to be awarded the So You Believe you're Funny award. Bea, her maiden name, pays tribute to her late dad. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian took his life when he was just three years old. He was an equine vet. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death before she reached the age of 13. To honor her father, she adopted the stage name Bea and in 2017, published an article on suicides and deaths that affected the family she was raised by for The Guardian. Bea was raised with her younger sister Sinead and her mother Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer, and former professional racer. Their parents were both obsessed with horses and racing. In her youth Bea employed as a tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early stage that she was not attracted to the race industry for a profession, but instead was a performer.
